Underwhelming. Particularly when using ColdFusion - CFSCRIPT in particular. eg comments are the same colour as script code. Why is that I wonder.

You really dropped the ball with DW2017. Going back to CC2015 thanks.

Not certain if they did drop the ball!

Dw has for too long tried to please all types of users, with the result being that it pleases no one. If a Dw user was to buy a pure code editor, then the avarage Dw user would never build a rwd site using a server language, that was not php. So I am wondering why it is now trying to cover all these additional languages now, some of which have been abandoned by most years ago, and if not are so on the fringes of what is popular that 90% of developers completely ignore them, maybe they do not want to support all these fringe languages.

    Client side -

Users should have what is required from the W3C specs supported, and not have to wait until they become recommendations as Dw does, this is a so outdated way of thinking when it comes to the web, that until it changes Dw will remain a second rate front end development program for many.

    Server side -

Dw should concentrate on improving support for php, and possibly .net, (C#). These are the 2 most popular server side languages, anything else should for now be thrown into the bin, untill everything required for these 2 is implemented.
