New DW and my .ste is lost?

SUDDENLY dreamweaver is new 19.0.1 and I have not worked on my site for 2 years

and all I need is the upload service for client files and I have a new High Sierra and there

is no clue where my .ste files are to import site, nor do they appear in File>Find>.ste
and every other DW version has kept the site so I'm stupidly lost.

I thought it would be with my home version of my site, but see no .ste anywhere in there.

Maybe it's buried deep in some folder?

Do what please?

Correct answer Ben M

does "drag & drop" constitute "restore" as you stated?

Yep - just bring that file from your backup to your new computer and you should be good to go.

The ste files are only available if you exported them from your old computer. Otherwise you will not have any to import.  DW should recognize your existing sites though.  What exactly happened before? If it's all of a sudden and you are on a Mac, use time machine to roll back a few days and restore your site prefs folder where DW reads its site definitions from:

Macintosh HD:username:Library:Application Support:Adobe:Common:{version}:Sites:Site Prefs
