New Feature: Group and Save Open Files

It would be great to have the ability to save all open files to a specific group for later use. I am not requesting to copy or save the file content but save the file paths. For example, I am working on a 4th of July sale for my website and I have to modify 7 files. When the sale is over I have to revert those changes in all 7 files. Having the saved group will provide the ability to open all files with a single click. 

 

This may sound useless to some but think about it. If you are a developer and working on several projects and constantly having to switch between them, wouldn't it be great to do it with a single click? C'mon Chrome did it with tabs.

    indeed GIT can also be an alternative solution (and I mark it as I like), but it requires quite a lot of operations in addition, in order to manage a simple FTP, there are all the various commits to be maintained without counting the initial repository that must be set up just to store the seven files to be modified.
    Wouldn't be like renting a semi-trailer to move a Norman cabinet (French expression)

    @Ryan_B23,

    Even if your feature request does get picked-up and added to the roadmap, it won't happen immediately. 

     

    In the meantime, look at DW's integration with Git version control.  Git helps you track all the modifications in a file, and lets you revert to the previous versions as well.  This may be all you need.

      since the commands management has been removed, this kind of operations that were easily memorized is no longer functional.

       

      However, there is an alternative which consists in placing a comment in your HTML files to be opened for example
      <!-- TO_BE_EDITED -->
      then you launch a search request on file (Ctrl - Shift - F), you can also memorize this request...
      you will only have to load it and launch it again... or directly launch a search (without saving the query) 

       

      your files will appear in the results page and you will be able to easly open them without having to locate them in your site
