Online view shows broken images in menu bar

I am using CS3 dreamweaver. For some reason my website is showing broken menu images. They are working but the image is not showing until you hover over it.

I don't know what has happened. I am not a webdesigner. Somehow this happened when I updated some files. Also there are some odd lines appearing on the site.

Can anyone help?

With the given error, it may be best to open the image in Photoshop and make some small change (like moving it one click left, then right again). Then save and re-upload to your server replacing the corrupt file you have online.

When I go to view the image, I get the following error message

There could be a number of causes why this should happen. The fix is to re-upload the images affected.
