OT: CSS Survey results.
As a few of you may be aware, Sitepoint recently conducted a survey on css, and the results can now be seen at -
https://www.sitepoint.com/results-ultimate-css-survey-2017/
There is a number of results that are inconsistent I found, some that either point to participants of the survey not answering honestly or maybe not fully understanding the question, and some that do not for me 'add up' when viewed with the results of other questions.
Never the less, I thought a few of you may find the results interesting, and before anyone points it out, yes I was pleased to see that the number of people using flexbox for layouts was greater than those using Bootstrap, There is however a big BUT for that, in that this was a result that was inconstant with one or two other answers. So I am personally not placing too much significance on that, or reading anything into it more than, 'I hope it is true'
.
Also given that css variables and other w3c specs, that enable a css coder to replace pre/post-processors, are in many cases not as well known as they should be, (refer to the results on those who regularly read the w3c specs) and that a survey of Brackets users less than 6 months ago showed that the split between 'vanilla' css, and pre/post-processor usage was about 50/50, (also confirmed by other surveys such as one done by MS) the results for that had me wondering just what is really happening.
