I'm not really sure about this stuff yet. It looks like Flash, was that ever a good look, I dont know. Sometimes I think things can be too gimmicky and do they really add anything or do they just start quickly become annoying. This one has some nice/clever touches but overkill in my opinion. I sure hope the web doesnt decend into an animation for animation sake.

It's a nice demo though, and shows just what is possible. Pity they had to do it using iframes though. It also partly answers your question about browser support, if they can drop IE9, (shows a blank page) for something as big as an Olympic bid !

I was wondering how the heck the content was getting loaded into the <body></body>

Nice.

It's also nice to see that they have dropped support for IE9, as the code is using svg and css animations.
