I love the sarcasm and none of it was lost on me.

"Now lets add more code to the API because as everyone knows, more code makes a better app."   Hilarious.

Bootstrap doesn't look nearly so bad anymore, does it?  🙂

Thank you @osgood_ for such a great piece, it should be tweeted.

Everything is so well summarized, detailed, commented, and above all it is so coherent and exhaustive (at least on the main lines).

It is true that the web has really become an application, working as it was the case this last decade becomes heavy, expensive, difficult to evolve (in a flexible and fast way, even natural), and the deployment becomes somehow complex if the application goes up in load.

The only regret is that for me, who is French (although the language is very clear) the flow is a bit fast...

Yes, most of the Fireship videos are like that - fast paced to the point it is difficult to keep up, even for those of us whose first language is English.

The 'tongue in cheek' digs throughtout the video at some of the dependencies involved had me in stitches, even the phart stack (php) had me in laughing. Fireship is a well known js advocate so that wasnt entirely unexpected but still an hillarious look at where we are at today and what a complex mess we have gotten ourselves into.

Imagine your rection if he had also touched on PWA, S3, JWT, OAuth2, sockets and webhooks.

Fortunately, web development is growing up and the narrator of the video is part of a growing number of professional web developers who are keeping us plebs up to date.

Love working with Node and Docker. Will eventually move from a shared hosting environment to the Cloud. Digital Ocean sounds good at this stage.

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

Not sure how much of the video you watched but its quite the opposite, a growing number of professional developers who are begining to question why so many complex dependencies are required to build a simple website/application, hence the video ending where a few cdn script tags for vue, bootstrap and firebase were deployed, rather than using the command line to create a bloated package of files and folders much of which will never be required and certainly the mere mortal developers wont even know what they do or how it all works,

I wont be around to be involed but sooner or later sense will once again prevail, it always does. Each generation of developers assess what the last were doing and it goes around in circles.

I just thought the tone of the video was really reflective of what most good developers are thinking yet the mediorce lemings in denial  wont or are afraid to admit to, hell if it were that simple.........
