Hi wanting to create a password protected page for clients to view privately...

Any links on a how-to for Dreamweaver CC?

The easiest way to do that would be to create a "clientname" folder on your server, then password protect that folder through your hosting admin panel.

So reviewing sites would be done by going to www.yoursite.com/clientname. Upon arrival, they would be prompted to enter the password. once they do, they'd have access to all contents stored there with nothing to set up in DW. No scripts or database connections required.

The key thing here is to password protect a directory on the remote server.

If you have Plesk or C-panel as part of your hosting plan, this should be a piece of cake.   The procedure is fairly standard no matter which hosting company you use.

I wouldnt do it like you have been advised, its economical rather than a bespoke approach.

If you can work with some simple php there are plenty of threads in this forum that l have provided code for that will password protect a page, without the necessity to use a scraping the barrel solution.

Still that may be acceptable to you, l dont know.
