Preprocessor problems

I am struggling setting up preprocessors.  I am new to Dreamweaver 2020 and following lessons in Dreanweaver Classroom in a book.  I have followed the instructions but the program is not creating a Sass folder.  If I manually create a Ssss folder in the root folder, the stylesheet files do not save  in the Sass folder.  I am minus the _base .scss file, as well. Could someone advise the solution?

      I have another question. I have been following the lessons in Adobe Dreamweaver Classroom in a book.  However, all I am doing is working with already prepared webpages.  I cannot figure out how I can apply the examples in the prepared website to the website I wish to produce.  I am stuck right now.  I have successfully completed the layout.  The lessons go on to extracting examples and applying them to the webpage.  This is no help to me.  I need to know how to create the coding and apply it to my webpage.  

      Before continuing any further with the lessons in this book, could you direct me to a site that could help me produce my own website.

      I think for purposes of learning and testing, you should always work with a fresh new, error-free HTML5 document.  Trying to retrofit an old building to modern standards is best left to experienced professionals.  It's the same with old web sites. 

       

      Go to File > New > New Document > HTML and hit the CREATE button.  SaveAs test1.html.  Or use one of the built-in starter templates.  File > New > Starter Templates...
