Presenter file does not open in Dreamweaver 4CS

I have been converting Powerpoint slide shows to a Presenter slide show and then opening this with Dreamweaver.  Recently the Presenter output has not been opening with Dreamweaver 4CS.  (I keep getting a message to enable JavaScript, but I've done this and still no success.)  I updated Presenter and Powerpoint upon the advice of Adobe chat staff.  Still no success.  I realize that Dreamweaver 4CS is not supported but am reluctant to use the cloud based newest version without some certainty that it will work.  Is there a compatibility issues using Dreamweaver 4CS opening Presenter 11 output?  If so, will Dreamweaver 6CS open the Presenter output?  In short, how do I overcome this problem since my entire web site depends upon the answer?

To the OP,

As presenter requires the acrobat reader plug-in, adobe has produced an article about the disabling of plug-ins -

CS6 is no longer available.  And there is no upgrade path for any Creative Suite product now except to join the Creative Cloud to download & install CC 2017 for a 7 day free trial.

Presenter is e-learning so I'm fairly certain it outputs to modern HTML5 and Javascript.  CC 2017 should be able to support it.  Probably better than CS4.

I'm not certain why Adobe Presenter is asking for the Adobe Reader then, see -

https://helpx.adobe.com/presenter/system-requirements.html

which under 'Viewing' requirements, says, "Adobe Reader 9 or later for viewing the PDF created using Adobe Presenter 11"

I'm not familiar with adobe presenter, but if you are having problems with the presentations you create in Dw being seen in the browser, it would be worth contacting Adobe support again, with the following info -

All modern browsers, (not versions of IE) are disabling plug-ins, and if Presenter relies on any plug-in it will not, or eventually not work, in Chrome, Firefox, Opera and in the future Edge and Safari.

The only exception to this is currently Flash content, but even that will stop working within the next year.

I do know, (just checked) that MS's powerpoint presenter for browsers, which relies on silverlight no longer works.
