PROBLEM: Expanded Files takes over copy/paste

When I go with the expanded files panel and dock it to the window (left or right side), copy/paste functions seem to all be diverted to the files panel (I cannot copy/paste text in the main code window). Is this normal or a bug that is yet undiscovered? The copy/paste functions work find when the expanded files panel is undocked. It only happens when the panel is docked. I have searched this forum, the support area (knowledge base), and the web in general and found nothing.
I am using Dreamweaver 8.0.2 (WIN). Anyone know how to fix this or if it is currently a bug?
