Problem with testing sql connection

Question

I have developed an asp,NET site in MX2004. Everything worked fine. I installed 8.02 on the same machine (we have the license for this version also, I was just using an older machine) so I could use a charting extension. Since I started using this version, I am unable to test connections or set up new datasets (I get the message 'internal server error 500'. However, when i preview extisting pages in he site, the connections work fine. It's only when I try to develop new pages that I get the problem. The problem occurs in both 8.02 and MX.

I'm at a loss- can anyone suggest a possible cause?

I wish I could be more helpful on this one, but Dreamweaver's support for .NET has always been spotty. I doesn't support .NET 2.0 + at all, and in the latest release .NET support has been completely removed. So it comes as no surprise when I say, for your .NET development, another tool may be the better choice. :-(
