Properties window goes blank

I'm using Dreamwever the the Mac. The properties window has suddenly stopped working. Whenever I highlight something in the html file, it goes blank. I've reinstalled the app. I've reset the workspace. No matter what I do, the properties window goes blank every time.

I have tried everything I can think of. I was using 21.6 (Mac). I went back to 21.4. I wiped the preferences and restarted. I used cloud cleaner to remove everything and reinstalled 21.4. Nothing helps. The only thing the app can do as it should is upload files to the remote server. Highlighting text doesn't transfer between the design and code windows. Spell check doesn't work. I'm reasonably knowledgeable, and have used Dreamweaver for a long time. Nothing I do makes any difference.
