Pushing a template change to production in bulk. Not each page individually.

I have inherited a site with couple of thousand pages. I have updated a template and applied it to the pages in dev. Is there a way to push this update to production without SFTPing each page individually?

Barring a site do-over (which will work better in the future), you can upload only your recently modified files, and do them all at once...

    1. After you are done making changes to your files for the day, right click your site's name in your Files Window (the topmost folder in the list) and choose "Select".

    2. Choose "Recently Modified" from the pop-up

    3. Change the "Files Created or Modified in the Last:" field to 1.

    4. Click "OK". This will select (highlight in the Files Window) all files modified for that day

    5. From the Files Window click Put (up arrow icon)

you can't avoid it...as Nancy stated, DW dwt technologies is dynamic generated files localy... so once done, you have to upload them to the remote

you can use the synchronise menuitem, by right cliking in the files panel.

then from there, DW will select all the new updated files in the local root, and you will be able to place all those new updated files in once to the remote server...not one by one individually,

    No, I'm afraid not.

Dreamweaver Templates (.dwt files) were never intended to support more than 50 static web pages.  So this workflow is seriously flawed for a site that large.

For your purpose, the site should be rebuilt dynamically with server-side technologies.  WordPress is one option but not the only one.
