Putting new files on the server

Hi please help!

I have updates some pages of my website but every time I try to upload them it fails.

I have PUT them on to the remote server which each time says happened successfully but doesn't show up when I try it out.

I note that they are not showing in the folder www where they need to be so I tried then dragging the files I had PUT on to the remote server into this folder but I get a message saying it is not possible.

Thanks anyone who can help!

www is an alias folder usually for a folder called "public_html". You can try changing your root directory in the Server settings of your Dreamweaver site to say /www or /public_html .  However, if you are getting restricted errors, I would first recommend contacting your web hosting provider.
