Questions about creating an artist's website

As a graphic artist, I am seriously thinking about creating a website, to showcase my Adobe artwork.

When it comes to choosing the best host for a site, do other artists who already have their own, typically have it as a Shared Web configuration or a Virtual Private Server? If it's a VPS, what is the most common memory & storage amount 2GB, 4GB or 8GB?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If you're a Creative Cloud full plan member,  you have free access to Adobe Portfolio.  It's hosted on Adobe's servers and as far as I know, there is no limit to how many images, videos, etc... that you can showcase on your PF site.

If you want to build your site in DW, shared hosting is the most affordable and probably more than adequate for your needs.  You can always upgrade later if need be.

If you use WordPress, I recommend getting WordPress hosting which costs a bit more but servers are optimized for better WP performance.   Well worth the extra cost IMO.
