I have the same problem. I think having the abiity to Auto Indent the Tags while coding gives one the ability to code much faster. Most other editors provide this feature on defualt becuase it's essential. Is there anyone out there? Who can help set the DW Editor to Auto Indent your Tags. I know it can be done becuase it does it for the instructor on the DW tutorials when he presses Enter on his tags.

It's far from essential. I never use indented code.  Indenting is minutia that has no effect on the quality or performance of your code.  At project completion, all code should be minified anyway to save server space.

 

If you really can't live without indented code during development, set it up in your Preferences.  Go to Edit > Preferences > Code Format (see screenshot).  For Advanced Formatting, click on Tag Libraries and set-up each tag separately.

 

 

Next, go to View > Code View Options > put a checkmark by Auto Indent.

 

To format code, go to the Common Toolbar and hit Apply Source Formatting (see screenshot).
