Re: Template Child pages not updating

Hi

We have used Dreamweaver for many years starting with DW CS5 and during the last two years we have had DW CC 2017 and DW 2019 available.

When we started to change from DW CS5 to DW CC we noticed that when you created a template file, created pages from this template, and then modified the template that the child web pages did not update.

This problem occurs in DW CC 2017 and 2019 versions

I've checked the forums and the method used to create templates and child pages are what we have done for over 15 years.

Given we can't find a solution we have now gone back to DW CS5

We use this software to allow university business students to create simple e-commerce web sites

    I branched this to a new discussion for you as the other one is quite old.

     

    Which operating system?

    Do you have the very latest version of DW 2019 installed?

    Are you in Design view and not Live?

    Run validation on your Template.  Is the code free of errors?  If not, fix the reported errors.

    Are you prompted to update child pages when you save the Template.dwt?

    Can you manually update from Tools > Templates > Update Pages?
