Hello All,

When i am working with css file and I try to use the real time preview I get a message stating that real time preview is only available for HTML and PHP files. What should I do to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Real time preview is to show you how a page will look in the browser while you edit it within DW. CSS file themselves don't have any markup that a browser can render, they style an html or php page.

Personally, during the early development stages, I use embedded CSS in the <head> of the page so I can see what it's doing as I work on it. Once the css is set, I move it into an external .css file and link to it.

You cannot Preview CSS or JS files in a browser.  Switch to your HTML document's Source Code tab.  See screenshot.
