Recordset Bindings Disappear

Hi - can anybody advise please....

Trying to learn and following book tutorial (Bardzell - vg) - going quite well but discovering disconcerting problem where I set up a record set in bindings and give it some server behavior, etc. This seems fine but when I come back to it the next night, the record set is missing from my Bindings tab & the Server Behaviors tab has red exclamation marks beside each reference to my recordset?

The code is still there and the references are still visible in design view, just not in the Application window. The dialogue still works! Has anyone come across this before?

Regards.
Patrick.

Hi Bob - it's in the tour_details script ... lesson 11/12?
Thanks again.

This same thing is happening to me. I'm not doing any tutorials. I'm using DW CS3 and my "Insert Transaction" Server Behaviors are disappearing. And where my forms are still showing their insert behaviors, they have a maroon exclamation point next to them in the list. This is not related to any tutorials.

Hey Patrick,

I've got the DW8 and DW CS3 versions of the book. Which exercise are you working on? They might be similar in the newer versions. Once I see the exercise and get the context and might have an idea of what's going on.

Hi Bob,

It's MX 2004.

The book is Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 with ASP, Coldfusion and PHP: Training from the Source (Paperback)
by Jeffrey Bardzell.

Dreamweaver - PHP.

I think maybe I had the table highlighted rather than the 'submit' button when I created the recordset (would that cause problems?) - It only seems to be happening on one program, the others seem ok?

Anyway - thanks for your interest.
Regards.
Patrick.

Patrick,

Can you give some specifics? Which book? Which exercise? Which language?

Thanks,

Bob
