Remove protected page password

I'm a new Dreamweaver user. I have assumed the responsibility of webmaster for the mwpschooners.com. I've managed to move the web site to GO Daddy and have made many updates to the site. What I would like to do is remove the password from the members link on the front page.  I have been unable to find the command structure or html code to the password code. Help!

Thanks

Richard

Correct answer Nancy OShea

Looks like the Members folder has been password protected at the server level.

This is not done with HTML code.

Ask your web host how to remove password protection.  It's probably in an .htaccess file inside the Members folder on the server.

Evidently, somebody thought password protecting the Members area was important.   Are you sure you really want to do this?  Is there anything sensitive there that the public should never see?

Thank you Nancy,

Yes all sensitive items have been removed or approved for display by the MWPS' board.

Removing the htaccess file fixed the problem.

The web site was originally on a different server and I just copied every thing to the new server.

The web site was last up dated in 2008. Arg! I kinda stepped in it when I volunteered to update and maintain it.

I used to do a little coding in my younger years but blowing out 75 BD candles has taken it's toll. GRIN
