Removing Dreamweaver for reinstall

As my PC (No2) became unusable I replaced some discs and loaded Windows 10

I now wish to reload CS3 and my Dreamweaver cs6 upgrade purchased in 2014

I started by loading the old discs of cs3 but soon found these were not working.

I then found Nancy's note to remove these:

Use the CS Cleaner tool.

http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

So I followed the instructions but find that this process in not working.

The progress message box states

Currently removing Adobacrobat8 Professional (at install older versions get upgraded).

However the progress bar seems to have stalled at about 4% of the length and it has been there for 12hours.

Can anyone please advise me how I can get this cleaner to complete its task so that I may progress.

Many thanks for you help.

John

CS3's activation servers no longer exist. The only way to reinstall is to log into Adobe's CS3 page, download the special version they have there, and use their special offline activation code...

Activation or connection error when starting CS3 or Acrobat 8

As for CS6, if you purchased a download you should be able to log into Adobe.com with your Adobe Id used to purchase the program, and find the activation code in your user profile. You can download CS6 here:

Download Adobe CS6 PC - https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html

Download Adobe CS6 Mac - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html

Well I tried the uninstall again and this time it worked immediately so that is a relief!

Can anyone please advise which would be the best way now to reinstall cs3 from my discs or from a down load.

I also need to reinstall Dreamweaver CS6, from memory this was carried out by download. How is this best carried out please?

Many thanks

Thank you for the above help.

I was able to get through the processes and they were completed I thought very well.

However when I looked at the results in the Windows menu things looked different.

When trying to open some of the applications below I received the following message.

"A serious error has been detected and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional cannot continue.

Please reinstall the application and try again"

In the All Programs Menu I have a number of items which I am not familiar with and some that are missing

including Fireworks which is a main requirement

In the All Programs menu

Acrobat does not appear but I have the following list

Adobe Bridge CS3                        Does not attempt to open

Adobe Device CS3                       Does not attempt to open

Adobe Dreamweaver CS3             Does not attempt to open

Adobe extend toolkit 2                  Opens I do not know what this is for.

Adobe extend toolkit CS6             Opens

Adobe Extension Manager CS3    Opens

Adobe Extension Manager CS6    Opens

Lower Down in the Programs Menu I have a Folder

Adobe Web Premium CS3.

In this there is:

              Acrobat Distiller 8        Opens

              Adobe Acrobat8 Professional     Partially opens

Adobe Live Cycle Designer 8    Opens

Can anyone advise what i should do next to get CS3 back and working.

Many thanks
