Restoring Site Definition Files - for a large number of sites

I exported all my site def's from old PC.  Have them in a folder.  In DW on my new machine, I can go into "Import" and select multiple sites but then it requires me to, one-by-one, repoint to each folder for each website.  I have all my websites - with all the same names - under a "Webs" folder.  And I probably have 1,000 websites that all have to be imported. Please tell me there is a way to just drop these all back in without having to renavigate to the Webs folder for every single site.

I tried going into the REGISTRY folder, which I located, but couldn't figure out how to insert / paste the .ste files all into the registry.  Is this step only necessary to copy / export the existing definitions?

What can you suggest for people like me who need these site definitions easily moved / copied / synced at all times?  It takes a massive amount of time to reconnect all of these.

Thanks in advance.

Do you still have access to the old computer? If so, try Nancy's method. That's how I've done it in the past.

Is your new computer's website directory set-up exactly the same as your old PC?  In other words, the same drive letter and folders as you had before?

    Yes.  Same structure, same folders.

And do you have one STE file that contains all your site definitions?
