Site not publishing

Hi. I could use some help please. I'm helping my wife with her website and I'm stumped. The changes we made to her index HTML file aren't showing on her website. I've put any new files to the remote site and Dreamweaver is successfully connecting to the site via FTP.

As someone who is unfamilar with Dreamweaver, is there something I'm missing like a "Publish Site" button?

Thank you in advance!

Use Ctrl + R or Ctrl + F5 to refresh your browser.  You might just be seeing an old page from your browser's memory.

Failing that, check your site definition's SERVERS settings.  Site > Manage Sites.  See screenshot.

Your server's Root Directory is where your hosting provider wants you to upload public web pages.  If unsure, ask your web host what to use.

    Hope that helps.

It was a combination of those things. The final piece of the puzzle was that I needed to sync index.html and its dependents after all that. Thank you!

Glad you got it sorted. 😁

Now go to Edit > Preferences > Site.

Check the box for Dependant Files: Prompt on Put.

    Good luck with your/wife's project.
