Site Selector showing External Drives, Extraneous Files, etc.

Why is it that when I go into my site selector in the Files screen, instead of seeing only the sites I've set up, I'm seeing all my drives, all my Mac Time-Machine backups, all sorts of other items along with the sites that should be in there.  Dozens and dozens of nonrelated items.  When I go into my site manager, though, all I see are the sites I've set up, as it should be.  It's really annoying to have to scroll through all those items that shouldn't be there just to get to the one I want.  I've been using DreamWeaver for over 20 years, and this has just started happening.

 

See the attached image for just a partial list of what shouldn't be showing in the site selector menu.

Maybe it's Time Machine releated.  I don't use a Mac and thus don't use Time Machine. Sorry.

 

 


This has to do with the Mac OS setup. It's been like this forever. Those are all mounted drives on your machine whether local or network attached. There is nothing you can do to hide them as this change would need to be made in DW to change how its file browser works.

Did you define a local site folder for each of your projects?  Site > New Site > C:\mySite\

 

When I examine my Files Panel, I see a list of my defined site folders.  My system drives C:\ D:\ E:\  etc... are above the defined sites.

Yeah, I've defined all my sites as they should be, and they're all showing... but that's all that should be showing in that sites drop menu.  Along with those in that list, though,  I've got everything in my system that is either a local drive, external drive, or identified as an external data source—.dmg, etc.—from my primary HD down, dozens upon dozens of items... it has even gone into my Time Machine (Mac) backup drive and listed every backup folder over the past few month.  Nothing should be in this list except for sites I've defined, those shown in my Manage Sites menu.

 

It's not like this is keeping me from working, just that all these drive files are at the top of the list, so to get to the site folders I want, I have to scroll down through them all.  That, plus the fact that it shouldn't be happening at all.
