Snippets stopped working on Dreamweaver CC

I created a series of snippets for some tooltips I want to insert in a web page on a wildflower.  I started inserting them in my page, which is here:  (link to website removed by moderation, as not relevant to problem).

In the middle of this process, Dreamweaver closed on me.  When I reopened Dreameaver, the snippets panel was still there, with my snippets listed.  However, the trigger key no longer responded.  The insert button did not respond either.  I am now unable to use my snippets to create the tooltips.

Please help!

Since the program has stopped functioning correctly, it may be worthwhile to try clearing the program cache and/or restoring preferences...

Clear Program Cache - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811

Restore Preferences CC Versions - https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver.html

...those are the first two steps I take when the program stops responding correctly and they usually take care of the issue.

Thank you!  You pointed me in the right direction.  I closed Dreamweaver, and got back in again; and the snippets were working again (without clearing the program cache or restoring preferences).
