Snippets window is not resizable? The tiny text field is frustratingly small when editing

I like the snippets feature. Though it's a pain, if the snippets are longer than 250+ chars.
Editing a snippets with ~ 1000+ chars is a pain, since there is not even an option for the window to expand in no manner whatsoever. 😞
There must be some config file where I might be able to change the standard size of the snippet window?

This could also be a feature proposal, I guess.

You're not missing anything, there's no way to change the size of the dialogue window within Dreamweaver.

If you need the extra space, copy and paste the Snippet into a blank html file and make your modifications there. Then copy and paste it back into Snippets. It's an extra step, sure, but it will give you all the room you want to make changes.

Thanx for your answer, yes, I was thinking about that as well, but mostly I am just wanting to change one single thing, and that's a pain doing it in the small editor, Just for changing maybe one value copying it into a new file etc. is quite an effort, which i wanted to prevent,....
thanx for your time & confirming! 🙂

Hi @justIn,

I can't say I've ever needed more than a few lines for code snippets.  They are afterall just for snippets, not entire scripts. And there are horizontal and vertical scrollbars for larger blocks of code.

That said, this user-to-user forum isn't the best place for bug or feature requests. Nobody will see them here.

Please submit your feature requests to UserVoice where the product engineers will see them.   From DW Help menu >   or at the URL below.
