If it's an actual .html page and not something put together in a Content Management System, like WordPress or something similar, you would download the page and any images to a folder on your local computer.

Then, within DW, you would Define a site using the folder you placed your page and images into as the Root Directory.

From there you would open the page in DW and make changes.

However, if you're not familiar with html, css and javascript, the process of editing a page in DW can be a difficult one. The program assumes you have an understanding of those basics and can be a bit of a bear to work with if you don't.

Once your changes are made, you would upload the files via FTP to your server (that would also be part of setting up your Site Definition, you'd get the necessary info from your hosting company).

Do you know the FTP Log-in Credentials for your website?  You will need this information from your web hosting provider in order to access the files on your remote server.

Go to Site > New Site.  Tell DW where you want to keep the local site folder on your hard drive.  Example:  C:\YourSite.

Click the Plus Sign (see screenshots).

Then click on Servers and enter your remote server's log-in details.

Once your site is defined, you can GET files from remote server by clicking the Down Arrow in your Files Panel.

It all depends how the web page was created, can you post a limk to your site?
