Spry Script Running too long

Using Dreamweaver Cs6. When opening certain files, I keep getting pop up saying "A script in file C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe dreamweaver cs6\Configuration\Shared\Spry\DesignTime\EditingUtils.js has been running for a long time. Do you want to continue?"

 

And whether I click yes or no, it just keeps popping up in an endless loop

 

Using Windows 10, already uninstalled and reinstalled dreamweaver

CS6 is outdated software from 2012.

So is Spry outdated.  Adobe discontinued Spry in fall of 2012 after having neglected it for 6 years. The framework is not stable and should not be used in modern web projects.

 

You have two options: 

#1 Restore Preferences.  And Ditch the Spry scripts from all documents that use it.

#2 Get rid of DW CS6 and rebuild your site with a modern code editor.
