Spry Submenu hides behind other layout tables when viewed in browser

Question

Hi - I created a horizontal spry menu except when I preview
in browsers (firefox/ IE/ safari) and check to make sure it works I
find that sub menu items are hiding behind layout tables/ graphics
positioned under the menu table.

I've managed minor successful modifications of the widget -
I've resized the boxes, re-colored them, and used underlined text
instead of boxes, but this is all I've done. I can't see any reason
why it would be happening.

Does anyone know the answer?
