Hello,

I'm trying to set up a staging environment for our Wordpress site and cannot seem to get them to connect. Can someone please explain how to do this. I have Adobe CC.

Thanks.

Do you have a local testing server installed & set up yet?

Did you install WordPress on your local server yet?

Did you import the remote SQL data into your local testing server's database with myPHPadmin?

I am also trying to do the same thing.  I have set up a staging site on godaddy with a cloned copy of my current website.  I'd like to use dreamweaver cc to work on my staging site.  And, like the gal above, i do not know how to do this.  Any help would be appreciated.

When you write "use DW to work on my staging site", do you mean:

1) make changes to the theme files localhost (your local machine) in order to customize/edit the theme code and upload the changes to your staging server at Godaddy

or

2) add posts and pages, plugins, choose themes, etc. in your staging site at Godaddy

or

3) add posts and pages, plugins, etc. in a local version installed on your machine (localhost) and upload these changes later to the staging server at Godaddy

or

4) something else?
