Stop counting files on search

Every time a search is done in DW it first counts how many files it's going to search. This must just be so the progress bar can show how far its got. Trouble is it takes almost as long to count the files as it does to search them, meaning every search is twice as long as it need to be. With 30K+ files, that's a lot of wasted time any time a full site search is run.

How can the counting step be turned off?

Can you try this scenarion in Dw CC 2017.1 with the new improved Find and Replace and let us know if now it works out the way you expect it to be?

Not sure it matters but is enable caching turned on or off in your local site settings?
