Stuck in Code View

I am using Dreamweaver CC 2017 - when I try to save a .html file as a .css file it does not have a save as option. If I override the file name it causes DW to be stuck in code view, any thoughts on why that would be and how to work around/fix it?

Fluid Grid Layouts were removed from DW CC.

CSS files are code view only.

Why would you want to save HTML as CSS?

Go to File > New > CSS and hit the Create button.

Now copy & paste the CSS code into your new CSS file. Save.

Thanks Nancy, this is the exercise I am completing. It is an old text with the new DW so it is using Bootstraps - when some students get to the part about saving su styles as .css it locks into code view.
