Suddenly getting "Failed to read the contents of XML Resource" error message

My server credentials are correct. I can't establish a connection now though. SSH_KEY_CHANGE?  The info online I'm reading isn't helping me. They are also from years ago. Anyone help me out here? How do I reestablish my SFTP connection?

    I had the same problem. What ultimately helped was removing the cached information for the SSH Key.  It took a while to locate the file, which depends on the version of Dreamweaver.

    In general, you need to delete the line for the particular host(s) from the file ssh_hosts in the Dreamweaver area of ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

    Here are a couple of typical example locations:

    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS6/en_US/Configuration/ssh_hosts

    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC 2017/en_US/Configuration/ssh_hosts

    Well, it's five years later, and this bug still persists in Dreamweaver 2021. Thankfully, deleting the ssh_hosts file fixed the issue. Why hasn't this problem been fixed half a decade later? Adobe, where are your standards?

    @Daniel24048820wazp,

    File corruptions are not bugs.

    File corruptions occur occasionally and rarely effect more than one user at the same time as bugs do.  In any case, it's 5 years later and yes, sh * t  happens.  If it happens again, Restore Preferences.

    FYI,  Adobe announced at last October's MAX CON that no new features are planned for Dreamweaver.  Dreamweaver is only minimally maintained now.

    I am getting this message with CC 2019 - cannot find any file with "ssh_hosts" in the naming convention....can anyone offer support?

    Just an FYI to the Windows 10 users out there- Editing the ssh_hosts file and removing the offending entry solves the problem. The only difference is the location of the file on Windows systems:

    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2017\en_US\Configuration\ssh_hosts

    Cheers!
