Question

syntax error popup not going away after fixing issue

I keep getting these popups and I love the heads up that I have forgotten something, but they often persist after I have fixed the issue.. I change to edit a another page and come back and it is still there. Any thoughts on how to deal with this, other than the obvious of not making stupid mistakes in the first place?

I am running windows 11 and dreamweaver 21.3. There are no instructions for that config. If I did work out how to do it, would I need to do it every time it happens? it is typically at least a few times a day and so far closing Dreamweaver and restarting it seems to be the only solution I have found.

Try Restore Preferences and see if that helps.

When working with PHP scripts, I toggle from LIVE to DESIGN with Ctrl + Shift + F11.

In LIVE view, PHP edits have to be saved & refreshed frequently which gets very tedious.

Save document (Ctrl/Cmd + S).

Hit refresh (F5).

Didn't help.  Did you understand that these are in the dreamweaver code window? I cant see any response at all when I F5.
