System Crashed.. setting up Dreamweaver.. not displaying .php files!

Hey everyone! Had a system crash bring down my productiuon machine.. and liming along on my backup system. Got Dreamweaver setup and synced settings... I develop Wordpress Themes mainly... but it refuses to display the code! I open a .php file and all I see is "1".. once in a very infrequent blue moon it will show the code, but most just show the "1". I can open .css files and .html files without issue.

Which local testing server?

Is the local testing server defined and running as expected?

Is the file being saved to the local testing server's default web directory?

What OS is this? What happens if you open the PHP file outside of DW in a text editor? I'm wondering whether this is a DW issue or if potentially some files were corrupted in your crash.
