Take a SKIN that is one jpg (leaderboard and 2 sides) and make it responsive

Hello,

I don't use Dreamweaver a ton these days and seem to have forgotten some basic concepts.

I have a SKIN, 1 large JPG, that I wish to make responsive.

I assume the leaderboard (top) stays and the 2 sides disappear when viewed on a phone or smaller screen.

Can someone point in the direction of a template or tutorial that could help me achieve this.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Babs

I'm not 100% certain what you are trying to do, but if I am reading this correctly then the use of border-image and border-width would work, providing your developers know how to use them and this is NOT for a email layout.

Is this JPG a background or foreground image?

    Hi Nancy,

I believe it would be the background.

Normally we just give the 3 pieces and they put it onto their template.

Now they are asking us to build it and provide the HTML file with the other pieces that would be necessary.

My top piece is 970x250 and the sides are 560x1000 .. The 2 sides are 200x800.

The sides actually sit below the Leaderboard. I attached a dummy to give you some idea.

I am playing with any files I can find but not having much luck.

I am trying to figure out sections?? eek!

    Thank you!

I'm sorry, I don't understand.  Can you provide some code examples of what you're working with right now?
