I get this message and however I did use a Ohmy template to create all the pages in my site, I never before updating to CC217 had this message come up and disallow me from updating my page.

How can I get around this or disable the lock?

Message reads: Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or a translator. The Change will be discarded

I didn't see a workable solution on this page or forum but figured out a workaround that was easy and straightforward. I copied the pahge code entirely into BBEdit (any text editor should do) and replaced the original page within the Dreamweaver file system. When I re-opened the page in dreamweaver I was able to save updates to the page and it seems to work fine now. Gotta love when a simple solution works. I hope this helps un-stuck someone else, that was annoying!

Sounds like you're trying to add something to a child page that has no template editable region for your <head> tag and thus cannot be changed until you fix the Template.dwt.    For better answers we need to see the code from your child page and the associated Template.dwt.   Also, what are you trying to add?

To my knowledge there was never a .dwt in this site. I have changed some text, and a link and yet every time I get this message so my changes are indeed discarded. I'd gladly share my screen with an Adobe employee that might assist.

This is a public user-forum, not Adobe tech support.

I'm a fellow product user like you.

This message implies you are using a Dreamweaver Template

"Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template..."

Can you copy & paste your code into a forum reply?  Be sure to remove any sensitive information you don't want to share with the world.
