Hi Guys,

I just wanted to take a minute and say thanks to everyone who has given me their time lately.   I've come to the conclusion that I'm not cut out for web development.  I keep making bad design choices and can't seen to wrap my head around some of the concepts.  I think I'm better suited for writing code and designing databases.  Thanks Again.  I appreciate all your assistance, time and patience.

I think from what l saw of your posts you were over-engineering just about everything and that's not surprising given the current situation in web development where everyone seemingly thinks if they give themselves a hard time they can justify a larger pay packet or can claim they are more skilled than they actually need to be.

I wouldn't want to be starting out today that's for sure, the industry is probably in the worst mess it's ever been in. Full of hopefuls trying  to learn from those with no real experience beyond a few youtube videos and code pens.

In your case lm absolutely sure it's just a case of finding the correct workflow to follow and sticking to it. l can see from what you posted you have potential to come good and learn, it's just a question of being a little bit more conservative in your approach. Solutions don't have to be complicated to work.

Thank You,

I am IT trained.  I have 2 BS degrees from DeVry University.  I have received training in web develepment but I was never very good at it.  I thought I'd give it another go and see what I came up with.  I'm better at coding and database design.  Almost anything but web development.  I do appreciate all your help and I did learn a few things so it wasn't a waste of time.

Web design is not simple. Like most things, it takes commitment and lots of practice, practice, practice.  When you have the time, come back to it in a structured setting  -- either in a classroom or online course of study.

Best of luck.
