Running a PC with Windows 7

Using Adobe Creative Cloud

I just installed Dreamweaver.

When I attempt to run it, I am returned with the following error:

"No document types have been found in the Configuration/DocumentTypes/ folder.  The MMDocumentTypes.xml file may be missing or corrupted.  the application will exit now."

The file "MMDocunentType.xml exists in the following path and appears to be valid.

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2018\configuration\DocumentTypes\MMDocumentTypes.xml

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Charley

There are two ways to fix the problem

    1. copy and paste the MMDocumentTypes.xml file to the personal Configuration folder

    2. rename the personal Configuration folder.

In both instances you will need to restart DW after making the change

The configuration folder on you machine can be found at

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC2018\<language>\Configuration

Copying the MMDocumentTypes.xml file to the personal Configuration folder didn't work.

    But, renaming the folder did.

    Thanks!
