To be controversial, about a year ago I made a prediction that Adobe would dump the Brackets Code Editor for the Monaco Code Editor. Watching the recent close ties between Microsoft and Adobe, my assumptions are only getting stronger. The IDE that I use also has Monaco. But a product that is free of charge that has Monaco is Visual Studio. You may be better off getting that. If you wish to know the name of the IDE that I use, PM me. Like Dreamweaver, It is not a free product.

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

    1. Do you you need a visual code editor to work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML code?  If yes, Dreamweaver is a very good tool for that.

    2. Easy for experienced coders, yes.  For non-coders, no.  There is a learning curve.

    3. Only you can decide if it's what you need or not.  You may try DW free for 7 days.  Please ensure your computer meets or exceeds the system requirements for Creative Cloud + OS + Dreamweaver...

    4. Dreamweaver is a tool used by experienced developers to build responsive websites and web applications.

    5. Yes.  Dreamweaver is by paid subscription only.  BEFORE you join, read & understand the subscription TERMS below.  Annual subscriptions are a 1 year commitment.  Cancelling early incurs a penalty fee.

If you have sales questions for your business I would recommend contacting Adobe sales ( https://www.adobe.com/about-adobe/contact.html ).  But to briefly answer your questions, yes Dreamweaver costs money.  Details on the plans can be found here depending on your needs/licenses ( https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud.html?promoid=NGWGRLB2&mv=other ).

To your question of whether it is easy to use, I would ask you what is the level of web development that you are at?  If you are a beginner, it's likely not for you as it is a professional level tool that does assume you have some level of knowledge or a desire to learn at a professional level.  Also here is what you can do with it: https://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver.html
