I would like to update stories (published by various writers) and have the writers preview the changes before it is published. Is there a way, perhaps using a password, that I can do that while keeping the previous version online?

    @dougcomz7476595,

    To do this right, you would need a content management system specifically built to support revisions.  The revised versions would reside in a password protected area on your server out of public view until the writers approve them.

    DW doesn't have anything that can do that for you, no code editor does.  But you or your developer could program a custom backend CMS with server-side code and databases.  Or use a ready-made solution like WordPress with collaboration plugins.

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/collaboration/

    Hope that helps.

    The easiest way is to make a copy of the original and have the reviewers go to the copied file.

    As an example, the link is to `original.html`. the reviwer changes this to `orginal-copy.html`. When all is done, remove the original and rename the copy to original. Hope it makes sense.
