Unable to Connect Dreamweaver to GitHub on Windows

I have watched the tutorial and read through the forums but have been unable to get past this issue. When I try to associate Dreamweaver to my GIT repository it says "Dreamweaver could not locate the Git client on your computer". Tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions much appreciated.

    I don't know which tutorial you mean.   If you are a new Git user, you must first download a Git client and create a Git account. A Git client is essential before you use Git from within Dreamweaver.

    Have you downloaded and installed  GIT for windows - you shouldn't need to set the path in Dreamweaver preferences as it automatically finds/detects GIT if you installed at the default path.

    Once you've installed GIT try the process again in Dreamweaver and let us know the result....

    Thank you both for your reply. The tutorial I was referring to is the one in the Adobe help area found here... Work efficiently with Git integration | . I also read through the article you referenced prior to my initial post. I have installed GitHub as well as the client found directly from the link in the Adobe article. I have an account on GitHub and 1 active repository. While this has now started working on my laptop it is still showing the same error on my desktop. The screenshot below shows the error and my open GitHub client just below.

    OK after having another look I realized what I did wrong. I installed Github and thought that satisfied the requirement of "installing a Git client" as instructed in the articles. What I found out is that after installing the Git client linked to from the article everything works. So it is not any "Git client" that must be installed but the specific one referenced in the article. Thanks again for your reply.
