Unable to Install Dreamweaver CS5 11.0.4 Updater. Macbook OS X 10.11.6

Question

Getting an error when trying to install the update:

“AdobePatchInstaller.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image.

Dreamweaver will not open even after several tries, have opened Photoshop without problem in the meantime.

Have also restarted machine, and tried to open Dreamweaver first, without success.

Have searched online for a solution, found others with similar problem but no suggested solution works (Direct download of Updater from Adobe, opening /tmp folder and reading amt3.log, even looked at Adobe Cleaner, which did not seem to provide a definite solution to immediate problem).

Need to use Dreamweaver on a new project, will delay if solution not found pronto.

Thanks John Fritz II.However, was able to delete two files as advised in below link, and Dreamweaver now works.Dreamweaver CS5 not working on macOs sierra 10.12.1

You might be better off downloading a free editor like http://www.brackets.io for the time being.

Although it talks about Mac OS 10.12, if you do the things mentioned in this post, might help you get the old installer running on the much newer OS:
