Question
Uninstalling Extension that won't go away
I have Dreamweaver 8 and installed Indigo Help Publisher for
Dreamweaver to try it out. After evaluating it, I uninstalled it,
but it didn't completely uninstall. I've reinstalled and
uninstalled it several times to no avail.
When I start DW, I get the following error message:
At line 7 of file "C:\Program Files\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\Startup\jwhpStartup.htm";
Help Publisher for Dreamweaver installation is corrupt
Either perform full reinstall of Help Publisher or remove using Extenstion Manager
The file "jwhpStartup.htm" does not exist in the Startup folder
The plugin doesn't show up in the Extension Manager so it can't be removed, but it does show up in my menu bar. Full reinstall removes the error, but I can't uninstall HP without the error coming up again.
If I open the Extension Manager and try to add the extension, I get the error message that DW is using jwhpdwjs.dll, please close DW and try again. Even after uninstalling HP, I get the same error message.
I'm at my wits end on how to get rid of this extension and Indigoware has not responded to my request for support. Anyone know how to manually get rid of it?
