How to update my website with Filezilla with my new template so that my children's pages are done as well from the template

 

all is good in Dreamweaver all done good

    • Where did you obtain your "new template?" 
    • Was it purchased online or did you create it yourself in Dreamweaver?

    We need more details about what you're doing.

    thank you for the reply as i said there are no problems in Dreamweaver all works ok

    the problem i am having is that when i upload the template through my FTP it does not change any children's pages that relate to the template, now  i hope you understand

    Uploading template to server doesn't DO anything.  Template changes and child page updates occur inside Dreamweaver before you upload files. 

     

    Are your child pages connected to that Template?

    Open one of them in Code View and check the code.

     

    In Design View, go to Tools > Templates > see screenshot.

    If you are using a Dreamweaver template you still need Dreamweaver to make the update to the template. Then DW will update all associated files. Then you can select those files in Filezilla to upload them. Filezilla is an FTP client, but it is not an editor, outside of minor text editing capabilities. You may also want to consider looking into a CMS.
