Updating an existing Website with Dreamweaver

To the powerful minds at Adobe Dreamweaver,

My brother is looking to update his current website with a sales platform that can be within the website walls and not outside on a third party portal. Does Dreamweaver have sales templates that can be modifyed for each product, but that cost lest then using exterior methods? If so what are they and what are the costs to apply those to the existing website?

Thanks,

Jonathan Young

Your brother's site is built with Wix -- a do it yourself online site builder aimed at amateurs & hobbyists.  Evidently, you're looking to upgrade to an e-commerce shopping site. In that case, why not just use Wix e-Commerce?

Dreamweaver is a stand alone code editor.  If you have the necessary talent & skills for it, you could build a custom shopping cart and backend CMS with Dreamweaver.  Or you could hire an experienced developer to program it for you (pricey).  Another option would be to re-build the site on another self-contained CMS & e-commerce platform like WordPress or Magento.   Which one you choose will depend on coding skills, hosting server and budget.

Good luck!

Dreamweaver is a tool that allows you to build any platform you desire, as long as you know how to program.

There are extensions available to make the task easier, One such an extension is available from WebAssist
