Updating Dreamweaver to 21.5 = 10 minutes hanging on 93%

So I cancelled the install and so far I'm in for 20 minutes "Canceling" and I have no Dreamweaver to use to get work I have to do, done. 

 


It's 2025 and Adobe still can't get this right?  Why can't I just download the file and install it manually?  It's bad enough that my Adobe stocks are deep underwater ($400 a share today?),  but I can't even use the program I've had a subscription to for several years... 

Win11 Enterprise, high powered media production workstation, btw... if that matters. 

Has anyone managed to  surmount this situation? How did you do it?

Don't use Opera browser during installation.

Hi @Jeffery.Wright,

 

Thanks for writing to us. We apologize for the hang being observed while updating Dw. We suspect the installation would have gone through while there is a stuck at 93%. Can you please try rebooting the machine and check your default installation location. You can also invoke CCD to install Dw again.

I appreciate that, but I am very busy and just want to get some work done, I have a few hot projects open and cannot just shut down my machine, as is the case with most developers. Why would this requirement be a part of trying to use Adobe products? Can I not update Adobe products without bringing my entire work day to a halt? Why doesn't CCD simply work? Thanks.

Thanks for reverting. We see this issue to be machine specific and hence our request to try installing after performing machine reboot. We have not heard about this issue from other users and sources. In case the issue persists, we can have a short remote connect session at your kind convinient time and try fixing the installation issue.
