Hi

What is option "showhiddenfiles" in site.ste?

Ex.

<sitemap pagesperrow="200" columnwidth="125" showdependentfiles="FALSE" showpagetitles="FALSE" showhiddenfiles="FALSE"/>

When change option from  showhiddenfiles="FALSE" on  showhiddenfiles="TRUE" I can not see the difference.

Please help me

    I think this options applies more to files on your remote site? For example .htaccess may be hidden by default. Just keep it to showhiddenfiles="TRUE" .

    .STE files (when it comes to Dreamweaver) are only used locally by the program for your site settings.

    You can export them from, and import them into, different versions of the program but your server has no use for them at all.

    In fact, they probably should never be uploaded to your site because they contain your FTP credentials.

    I don't think anyone said anything about uploading it to a remote server? I might be wrong here but does the hidden files option apply to views in the file panel; local files, testing server or remote server, just like any other FTP/SFTP clients that have a show hidden files option?

    Have a look at How to import and export Dreamweaver site settings for more info on STE files.

    As you can see, it will not affect the current site, it creates an XML file to export the site settings.

    Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

    I can not see the difference after importing the settings!

    Why?

    It's probably because you have no hidden files in your site.
