When I 'put' my webpages on to my website the amendments I have made do not appear on the website.

My website is adlestropfamilyhistory.co.uk.

When I 'put' webpages to the website, it doesn't update the pages which I have edited.

I am very green when it comes to web technology. ipage used to host every aspect of my website. Back in June I decided to move to ehost for some aspect of the website as it was cheaper. Since then I haven't been able to update the pages (although the original pages appear to be fine). So now I pay ipage a small amount (I think this is for a domain name???) and a larger amount to ehost (I think this is for the website itself)

Please help (but in basic terms as I am not great with this)!

Contact your hosting provider.   Explain to them that uploaded files are not immediately appearing on the site.   I suspect you may have another set of files somewhere on your server and that's why you're not seeing the updates.  Or maybe the server is caching files.

Did you refresh your browser (Ctrl+R or F5)?

Are you uploading files to the correct folder on your server?

Can you show us a page that has been updated and tell us what has changed that is not showing?

Hi Nancy

I have refreshed my browser and as far as I can tell everything is pointing to the right place.

On this page:  http://www.adlestropfamilyhistory.co.uk/family%20pages/T/turner.html

you will notice the final name on the list is not in bold. I amended it on my local page, but it is not amending online...

Expand your Files panel so your remote server files appear on the left side and your local site files are on the right.   See screenshot.

Look at the Modified Dates to see if they match.  In other words, the remote file is the current one and not an old one.
